The APC has stated that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the PDP Presidential Candidate, should receive complete protection following the thwarted Boko Haram attack on his residence.

 The All Progressives Congress (APC) has stated that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the People's Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate, deserves full protection under the law as a Nigerian citizen. This statement was made in response to the recent foiled attacks on Atiku's Yola residence and ABTI University by suspected Boko Haram terrorists.

Mr. Felix Morka, the party's National Publicity Secretary, called for the police and the Department of State Services (DSS) to investigate the PDP's claim that the APC was responsible for the attack. He referred to the allegation as a baseless and mindless campaign of defamation, stating that the PDP should refrain from engaging in such behavior as an established political party.

Morka emphasized that acts of terrorism and involvement in terrorist plots are serious crimes under the law, and the PDP cannot make unfounded allegations without evidence. He asserted that Atiku Abubakar, being a Nigerian citizen, deserves utmost protection under the law, and any threats to his safety or assets should be thoroughly investigated and the perpetrators brought to justice.

The APC criticized the PDP for indulging in continuous politicization of serious security matters without any accountability, especially after their defeat in the last Presidential Election. The APC reaffirmed its commitment to defending its legitimate election mandate in court and pursuing a strategic program of social and economic development to win the support of Nigerians
